Dear World,
I love this saint we are celebrating today!!
I found Blessed Carlo Acutis during a really difficult period in my life. I remember looking for a novena to start that day for direction and healing, and I discovered Carlo through a google search of “feast days on October 12”. Since then I have prayed to Carlo hundreds of times. This millennial saint was a normal teenage boy who loved soccer and video games, but he most of all loved the Eucharist. He spent his ordinary life living for God and for others, comforting his peers during their difficult times.
The Eucharist is the highway to heaven. – Carlo Acutis
Carlo died of leukemia when he was 15, but if he was alive today he would be 32. Isn’t it amazing to think I have a friend in heaven just around my age? I grew up with three really close guy friends, and I am still friends with them and now their amazing wives. Friends in heaven and friends on earth!
And I think where he helps me the most is when I read about his ability to put eternal life over this earthly one. He didn’t see this world as the focus but heaven as the goal.
Our goal must be infinite, not the finite. The infinite is our homeland. Heaven has been waiting for us forever. -Carlo Acutis
In a world full of pain and suffering (which he experienced first hand) he held on to the promise “something extraordinary awaits us”.
Do not be afraid because with the Incarnation of Jesus, death becomes life, and there’s no need to escape: in eternal life, something extraordinary awaits us. – Carlo Acutis
Happy Feast Day, Blessed Carlo Acutis.
